Viola Davis who has been featured in NY Magazine is finally back home with Fences. Her very first professional gig was in Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. She played Mattie and it’s what got her the Actor’s Equity card. After a few years her Broadway debut was in the play by Wilson’s called Seven Guitars. After that she received a Tony for her role in Wilson’s King Hedley II. Finally her return to Broadway is at a time of revival of another Wilson play – Fences. She stars opposite Denzel Washington in Fences and it should be a magical performance.
